Salford Magnetic Resonance was formed in 1995 in Salford, Greater Manchester. The proprietor Alan Parker has a PhD in magnetic resonance imaging from the University of Cambridge & has also undertaken postdoctoral work in applying NMR techniques to food industry problems. The main area of business has been in providing consultancy services to industrial users and manufacturers of bench top NMR equipment used for quality control. In this time we have worked with a number of national & international clients. In addition to our activities in the quality control industry we have also serviced NMR imaging systems, worked on NQR (Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance) projects in the defence industry. Finally we have provided training to users of NMR equipment at a number of levels from teaching production operators how to use benchtop equipment for industrial QC applications to lecturing in medical imaging to final year undergraduates & MSc students at Manchester University.

Several years ago we moved our operations from Salford to Abingdon in Oxfordshire as the majority of our UK based clients were based in the south of England. Today we have an office & workshop facilities in the TBAC Business centre in Abingdon & can offer a wide range of services to users of NMR equipment.
